Starting June 3rd EOS mainnet will go live and all token holders, all over the world, will be able to cast their vote and decide who will be the BlockProducers.
Here, you will find out why it is important to vote, and how you can do exactly that.
Please consider DutchEOS for your vote. Read why we think we deserve it.
Because EOS will be run by the community. The way it is designed now is subject to a lot of change depending on what the people want.
And you get what you want by voting for a BP, that wants the same, and does it the way you want them to do it.
Keep in mind they do abide by the constitution (which can be changed too, by, you guessed it, the community)
The BP’s do more than validate blocks. They have the position to propose changes to the system, and with a majority, vote them in.
So it’s very important to vote for a BP that you believe is the best for EOS.
Playing a vital role in the EOS ecosystem, you want these BP’s to be reliable, transparent and add value.
You should be able to communicate with them, see how they work and what their goal is. Check out the reddit AMA’s series here.
On the right side of the page you will see which BP’s have participated in the AMA’s, and you can read the answers they gave.
Of course, EOS Go has to be mentioned as well; Discover EOS BlockProducer Candidates.
Got it, so how do I vote?
Different voting portals are being developed. In this video Jan Smit provides some options;
These sites will use your private key to encrypt your votes locally. Until hardware wallets such as Ledger and Trezor start to support EOS , these website voting options are likely the only viable voting options in the short term if you dont want to run your own EOS node.

http://greymass.com/ (site not up yet)
http://koreos.io/NO (Korean portal)

http://vote.eosio.sg/ (EOS Singapore)

As the 3rd comes closer more options might present themselves.
